In answer to your comment, many of these works I have in the deviant art gallery are older. Most of them are from art classes. I've had little time to update with photos of new art. However, I'm always interested in learning new things about color. Besides that, I'm interested in atmospheric conditions, and space/distance. Working with alot of landscapes over the past year or so. And although landscapes are my first love, I do seem to have a talent for capturing people in portraiture. Your portraits - your self-portrait, in particular, is so intense. The eyes give the impression of emotional depth and curiousity. Thanks for the note.
You're probably right about me liking this piece because of the sadness, but I think I would have said that I like it because it is thoughtful. I imagine myself sitting on a balcony above this scene, watching the people pass in the rain, huddled beneath umbrellas.. just thinking to myself. I like alot of your work, though. Your style suits me, and I respect your talent with architectural forms. .....rock on.
My apologies for the appearance of my art online! Within my busy schedule, I am hoping to find the time to update my portfolio. There are new works I have no photos of, and (obviously) old photos that need to be properly cropped. Doing the best I can.. have some patience (and a little faith).
